Description

We are looking to add a highly-skilled, energetic, and collaborative finance leader to our growing senior living organization. The right candidate will be energetic, customer-focused, and determined to add value within a rapidly expanding organization. You will be managing an annual budget of $25 million, projected to double in the next 12 months as we continue to grow our senior living portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or Director of Finance (CFO-level experience in senior living or healthcare strongly preferred).
  • Experience managing remote or overseas finance/accounting teams, with a focus on cost management and efficiency.
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and multi-site operations.
  • Hands-on experience with general ledger systems and accounting software (FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, financial modeling).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate, timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for a growing multi-site senior living portfolio.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, manage costs, and support operational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with Business Office Managers across multiple communities.
  • Manage and optimize performance of an overseas Finance team, ensuring productivity, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to budget.
  • Manage lender relationships, including acquisitions, refinancing, and capital planning.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Team on strategic initiatives, growth planning, and investment opportunities.
  • Direct internal and external audits and support tax compliance.
  • Develop and document financial processes, policies, and systems for scalability.
