Anchor closed a $20M Series A and grew 500% last year, transforming the $74B services payments market. Our platform automates billing and collections so businesses can focus on growth. We're hiring an AI-First Director of Finance & Compliance to own the financial backbone of a fast-scaling fintech company. Reporting to the CFO, you'll lead financial operations, planning, tax, compliance, and reporting, with AI built in to every part of your work. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on builder, an AI-enabled operator, strategic, and detail-oriented, operating at a hyper-growth startup speed. Responsibility Oversee the books. Manage the external bookkeeping firm handling GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations. Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Own financial reporting. Monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L analysis, unaudited quarterly reports, and annual audits. Lead tax compliance for U.S. and Israeli operations. Ensure adherence to all statutory financial requirements. Own FP&A. Forecasts, budgets, cash flow management, and scenario modeling. Use AI-powered tools to increase accuracy and surface insights faster. Manage treasury. Cash flow, AP, AR, expenses, capital allocation, and revenue recognition. Drive board and investor reporting. Financial packages, KPI dashboards, and investor updates. Own regulatory compliance. Build and maintain compliance frameworks. Use AI-driven monitoring to flag risks and stay ahead of regulatory changes. Implement internal controls and ensure audit readiness at all times. Support capital strategy including fundraising readiness and strategic financial decisions. Partner with leadership across Sales, Product, and Operations to align financial planning with company goals. Support pricing and deal structure decisions with financial modeling and margin analysis. Requirements Minimum 2 years at a Big 4 firm (EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG) plus minimum 4 years in controller roles at commercial companies, ideally startups. AI-first operator. Practical experience using AI to automate financial workflows, improve forecasting, or enhance reporting. FP&A strength. Proven ability to build models, forecasts, and board-level reporting from scratch in a high-growth environment. Tech savvy. Eager to evaluate and implement new tools, agentic AI, ERP systems, and accounting platforms. High proficiency in Excel. Startup grit. Thrives in ambiguity. Hands-on while building infrastructure around you. Strong communicator. Translates complex financial topics into clear language for leadership, board, and investors. CPA with Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Dual degrees (Law/Accounting, Accounting/Economics) preferred. Extra Tax and multi-jurisdiction experience across U.S. and international operations. Experience at a Series A through Series C fintech company. Background in B2B payments, billing, or collections. Experience supporting a Series B fundraise.
