Pay Range: $65,000 to $75,000
FLSA Status: Exempt
Schedule: Flexible/Varied: 40+ Hours/week with evenings and weekends as needed.
Reports to: CEO
Primary Function: Financial Oversight, Operations, Member Experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Finance and Operations provides leadership for the Association’s financial health, member experience, facility operations, and marketing coordination, ensuring cohesive support for all YMCA branches and programs. This position leads the Member Experience team, which includes the Accounting Clerk, Maintenance Lead, HR and Office Coordinator, and designated program leaders (Aquatics, Wellness, Tennis, Lakewood Site Supervisor, Gymnastics, and Teen Center). The Director of Finance and Operations blends strategic planning with an active presence in facilities, ensuring smooth daily operations, consistent service standards, and clear communication of YMCA programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 5 years of operations management, recreation, or nonprofit leadership experience.
· Proven skills in financial oversight, including budget management, AR/AP processes, and expense control.
· Experience supervising multiple departments or teams.
· Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Experience coordinating facility maintenance and contractors.
· Familiarity with marketing and community engagement.
· Commitment to treating all individuals with respect and dignity in alignment with YMCA values.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE & ENGAGEMENT

· Lead strategies to promote YMCA programs, increase membership, and retain members.
· Maintain a visible presence in facilities to support staff and engage members.
· Ensure consistent service standards across branches.
