POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, payroll, audit preparation, and compliance. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors and its Finance and Audit Committee, the Director ensures financial sustainability and integrity through strong internal controls, financial analysis, and strategic leadership. This role also supports and influences organizational decision-making by providing operational and financial expertise across departments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) required
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • At least 2 years in a non-profit environment with strong knowledge of ASNPO (Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, reporting, analysis, and full-cycle financial operations
  • Experience in contract negotiation and investment strategy development
  • Experience leading organizational or financial process change
