Job Description (Essential Responsibilities)

  • Lead financial operations, compliance, reporting, audits, budgeting, and risk management across ABIC’s entities (501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and Super PAC)
  • Develop financial strategy, cash flow management, and forecasting models
  • Present reports and financial analysis to executive leadership and the Board
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, oversee audits, and prepare 990 filings
  • Maintain FEC compliance for Super PAC and enforce legal firewalls
  • Transition from outsourced accounting to internal finance function
  • Establish strong internal controls and risk management practices
  • Oversee grants management, restricted funds, and federal/state compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Active CPA (mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 7-10+ years nonprofit financial management experience (at least 5 years Director/Controller level)
  • Experience with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and Super PAC finances
  • Strong audit and compliance leadership experience
  • Advanced Excel, QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Bill.com, Expensify preferred
