POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must live in Durango, CO area
  • Master’s in accounting and/or CPA or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Strong computer skills with advanced Excel skills required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial leadership role required
  • Experience with ERP systems and complex inventory is highly desired
  • Excellent and professional written and verbal communication
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with and build strong teams and able to effectively work alone
  • Goal oriented, team player with proven problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
  • Maintain up to date and accurate accounting processes and procedures, including: General ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables including government invoicing and collecting, bank reconciliations, period and year end closing processes, and tax records.
  • Manage banking relationships including acquisition and management of company lines of credit and loans.
  • Direct the establishment and maintenance of financial policies, accounting practices, procedures and controls for the business.
  • Prepare, interpret, and report on standard business financials to COO and CEO monthly (P&L, BS, Budgets, Cash Flow, Ratios)
  • Generate analysis on organizational departments to determine areas for improvement, focus and business health.
  • Lead the establishment of company budget and maintain budgetary controls and reporting.
  • Ensure financial results and recommendations are reported timely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with other departments in meeting policy requirements on record retention, invoicing standards, information exchange, financial reporting
  • Oversee management of business insurance, payroll, and outside audits per current job functions.
