Description

Our NPO client in Guelph is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join their team on a contract basis! This critical leadership role will oversee all financial operations of the organization, with a particular focus on managing ministry funding, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, and maintaining robust financial reporting and controls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in the healthcare or NPO sector, with specific knowledge of Ministry funding requirements.
  • CPA is required
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of all finance functions.
  • Manage and report on government and ministry funding, ensuring compliance with grant agreements, reporting deadlines, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Supervise and support the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain financial policies, systems, and controls to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with program and operations teams to ensure effective financial management across departments.
