DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Mission: Deliver the World’s Best Luxury Beauty Buying Experience
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $120,000 - $130,000

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA/CPA a Plus

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ year experience in a public accounting firm and/or private company preferred
  • Hands on experience with monthly close and financial statements
  • Retail and/or Consumer Product experience preferred but not required
  • Detail-oriented, willing to roll-up sleeves to get the work done regardless of the assignment
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to learn and leverage new ERP and other systems
  • Result-focus, highly driven to improve performance. Superior ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task to meet critical deadlines
  • Strong technical & GAAP knowledge & sound business practices
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage monthly close, ensuring all aspects of the General Ledger are completed to provide timely and accurate financial results in accordance with GAAP
  • Review existing and develop new financial policies & processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of company financials
  • Leverage and implement financial systems to drive overall team efficiency and improve analysis of key business data
  • Manage accounting staff including A/P and 3rd party vendors and determine future department needs
  • Work cross functionally on strategic projects with Buying, Inventory Planning, Store Operations, ECOM & Marketing departments
  • Manage and coordinate completion of external year-end audit and tax returns
  • Work closely with Senior leadership & Private Equity ownership group to make appropriate business decisions for the company
  • Play a key role in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning for the company
