FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, has an immediate need for a Director of Finance – Fuel Consortiums. The Director of Finance – Fuel Consortiums is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of multiple Fuel Consortiums (LLC made up of major airline representatives). Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and will work closely with the Chairperson of each Fuel Consortium. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Planning Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals. Forecast capital needs, staffing, and resource allocation. Advise executive leadership on financial implications of strategic decisions. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process across departments. Create financial models to forecast revenue, payroll and expenses. Create financial models to forecast Capital requirements. Monitor performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. Financial Reporting & Analysis Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports. Assist with annual external audit. Present financial insights to Fuel Consortium committees and members. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Cash Flow & Investment Management Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency. Identify investment opportunities and manage relationships with investors. Coordinate capital planning and ROI analysis. Leadership & Team Development Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (required) 2. CPA/CFA certification (preferred) or Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Finance) 3. 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management 4. Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams Skills 1. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities 2. Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance 3. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, QuickBooks) 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 5.
