Join a dynamic and fast-growing mining company based in Vancouver, BC! As the business moves into the exciting production stage, our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to help lead them through this next phase of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a designated CPA with 7+ years of experience to step into a high-impact role, working closely with an accomplished leadership team!
About the position

Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Lead all aspects of financial reporting and consolidation across multiple entities (currently two, with potential for rapid growth).
  • Produce timely and accurate quarterly/annual working papers, and IFRS accounting memos.
  • Manage core accounting operations including payroll, administrative functions, and valuations.
  • Oversee and prepare financial statements, tax filings, and compliance for a public company environment.
  • Support fundraising activities, including prospectus preparation and capital market initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership on M&A transactions, due diligence, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and production cost analysis.
  • Mentor and guide team members, while working closely with external advisors and auditors.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: $150,000 to $160,000
  • Discretionary bonus

Requirements

  • Designated CPA
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Public practice experience is an asset.
  • Mining experience is an asset.
