Description Position Overview The Director of Finance is responsible for leading all financial and accounting operations for Latitude Therapy. This role ensures the organization’s financial health, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment of financial strategy with organizational goals. The Director will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, internal controls, and cash flow management while working closely with executive leadership to drive efficiency, sustainability, and growth. Key Responsibilities: Establish, maintain, and continually improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Produce accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Lead the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning to support operational and strategic needs. Partner with external billing vendors to ensure timely, accurate reimbursement; reconcile remittances and deposits, monitor collection rates and aging, and investigate variances or denial trends. Report Monthly financial KPIs to CEO Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and healthcare/insurance industry requirements. Coordinate and provide documentation for tax filings, external audits, and payer or insurance-related financial reviews. Prepare and maintain financial documentation required for loans, grants, or other funding sources. Work with the company accountant and legal team to organize and prepare financial appropriately. Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective safeguards, internal controls, and compliance checks. Budgeting & Strategic Planning Lead the development of annual operating and departmental budgets in partnership with leadership and department heads. Monitor and evaluate budget performance across departments, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support cost management and revenue optimization. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and strategic opportunities for improvement. Payroll & Compensation Oversight Responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with HR to align payroll with employee records, benefits, and employment changes. Monitor compensation structures, including salaries, incentive programs, and benefits costs, to ensure equity and sustainability. Ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and compliance with all filing requirements. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly, maintaining employee trust and confidence. Collaboration & Leadership Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the executive leadership team, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making. Partner with billing and revenue cycle management teams to strengthen reimbursement processes, optimize collections, and support sustainable growth. Foster collaboration across departments by translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial leaders. Supervise entire financial department Requirements Experience Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in healthcare or ABA therapy settings 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in managing audits, compliance, and revenue cycle processes. Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and Excel Skills Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities. Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences. High level of integrity, accountability, and meticulous attention to detail. Self-motivated and self-directed Working Conditions Hybrid or Remote work arrangements.
