WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

Numbers, analysis, and reports are your expertise! Controlling, accounts payable and receivable, as well as cash management, are not just terms for you but part of your daily routine. You have extensive experience in leading an operational hotel accounting department and can effortlessly create insightful reports as well as monthly and annual financial statements. As a trustworthy and skilled professional, you stay ahead of the curve in finance and controlling. The owners entrust you with the financial management of the property because responsibility is your strength. You are a valued advisor to the management team on all financial, legal, and process-related matters.
As a member of our Executive Team, you play a crucial role in the success of our property. You report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with all hotel departments to support strategic decision-making with solid financial insights.

Responsibilities
  • Your key role as Director of Finance will encompass all areas of hotel strategy, financial management, including balance sheet reporting, income statement/analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
  • You will be the professional business and sparring partner for the General Manager in all aspects of legal and financial matters
  • You will have overall responsibility for the Finance, Purchasing and IT departments, including staff leadership
  • You control all accounting functions and monitor the daily accounting processes as well as all KPIs in compliance with agreed guidelines.
  • You will also take care of business planning, business process improvement, investment decision support, risk management and audit support as well as interaction with third parties and financial authorities
  • Your close and proactive collaboration with the hotel management, head office and department heads as well as the owner enables you to provide strategic advice to make recommendations with the aim of increasing revenue and maximizing profit
  • You have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and have strong presentation skills, such as in meetings with the owners and in the presentation of quarterly figures
  • You communicate professionally with the owners and the management team
  • You are responsible for reconciling all sales, checking daily statements and reports and performing plausibility checks
  • You check the financial procedures and systems with regard to legal compliance and timing
  • You report correctly and on time on all financial aspects (e.g. monthly financial statements, forecasts, cash flow, budget, investment, etc…)
  • You analyze variances, make forecasts and practice active suggestion to implement measures to protect profit targets while maintaining product quality and guest satisfaction.
  • You have a control function within the hotel in terms of specifications, policies, standards in terms of value preservation and financial concerns.
  • You perform internal audits
  • You independently manage various projects
  • You are responsible for the further development of your team and the trainees and enjoy passing on your extensive knowledge
  • You are involved in recruiting your team members and provide them with a professional induction and a motivating working atmosphere
  • You are a real team player with all hotel departments and the leadership team
