THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS/SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance (Accounting focus preferred)
• CPA, CA, or CMA designation is considered an asset but not required
• Minimum 5+ years in a Finance Manager, Controller, or similar role and experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and audit
• Experience in bookkeeping and strong proficiency in payroll, A/R and A/P, and CRA remittances
• Skilled in MS Office, financial software, and online platforms (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom)
• Knowledge of GAAP, Indigenous Services Canada requirements, and FMB standards

• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and solve problems under pressure
• Strong understanding and respect for First Nations governance, culture, and community
