JOB SUMMARY

As Director of Finance, you’ll lead all aspects of finance and accounting, including FP&A, budgeting, SaaS metrics, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and compliance. You’ll be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for providing financial insight, operational discipline, and scalable infrastructure as we grow.
You’ll manage a lean but capable team, collaborate across departments, and work directly with executive leadership on high-impact initiatives, including pricing strategy, capital planning, product launches, and new office/territory development. This role is ideal for someone with SaaS finance experience who thrives in a growth-stage environment—someone who can think strategically while staying close to the numbers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS finance/accounting, including Director level responsibility
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, key metrics, and subscription accounting
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, ASC 606, and internal controls
  • Proven ability to lead FP&A, financial reporting, and accounting operations
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and business acume
Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to the executive team on variances to budget, strategy, business development, and capital allocation.
  • Track and optimize core SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and net revenue retention (NRR).

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee general ledger, monthly close process, preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and perform reconciliations and account analyses.
  • Ensure timely and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Manage the company’s chart of accounts, accounting policies, and internal control procedures.
  • Supervise A/P, A/R, and tax filings, both in-house & through outsourced providers.
  • Server as primary liaison with external tax consultants to provide necessary financial data and documentation for year-end tax filings.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce monthly financial packages, board reports, and executive dashboards with insights into company performance.
  • Analyze financial performance and trends to identify areas for improvement in cost control, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure.

Systems & Operations

  • Optimize financial systems and implement tools for automation, reporting, and forecasting (e.g. Excel models & SaaS metrics dashboards).
  • Evaluate and refine billing, collections, and expense processes to support a scalable finance operation.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align financial planning with business goals.
