Description:

Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
  • Own financial planning and budget management functions
  • Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
  • Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
  • Direct all financial reporting preparation
  • Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance
  • Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
  • Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
  • Supervise risk and insurance management
  • Compare monthly operating results against budget
  • Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • MBA or CPA is preferred
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
