My client is looking for a Director of Finance to join their team, which is in the non-profit industry. The organization is located in Washington, DC and the role will be operated on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate for the Director of Finance role will have non-profit experience and be responsible for the handling of revenue, maintaining the general ledger accounts, supervising a team, reviewing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with month end close, budgeting, producing financial reports and communicating regularly with the board. The ideal Director of Finance we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Understanding of US GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Non-profit experience.
• CPA, preferred

• Perform month-end close.
• Create annual budget.
• General ledger maintenance.
• Review and reconcile AP and AR accounts.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Present reports to the board.
