Job Description What is the opportunity As a senior trusted advisor to the executive leadership team for Cards & Loyalty, you will collaborate with partners to provide value-added strategic financial advice, with a focus on Rewards/Loyalty, NIE/FTE, and Small Business & Commercial Cards portfolios. You'll drive strategic decision-making through insightful analysis, early identification of opportunities, and actionable recommendations that accelerate business performance. As the strategic financial co-pilot, your thought leadership will directly shape the future of Cards products and rewards at RBC and help drive driving superior long-term bank performance. What will you do? Leadership & Team Management Lead a high-performing team of 4 direct supports, developing talent and building capability across FP&A functions Build strong partnerships with SVPs and VPs across Cards & Loyalty, strengthening finance’s position as a strategic business partner Strategic Financial Leadership Drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the Rewards/Loyalty, NIE/FTE, and Small Business & Commercial Cards portfolios Partner with business leaders to develop compelling business cases, profitability analyses, and program performance insights and recommendations Collaborate across the organization on key partnership and payment initiatives, ensuring alignment on financial modeling and reporting Performance Management & Optimization Own month-end, quarter-end, and forecasting cycles with accountability for accuracy and timeliness Proactively analyze loyalty and rewards financial trends against business drivers and key performance metrics Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities, improving cost transparency and operational efficiency Establish KPI monitoring frameworks to track progress against strategic milestones Champion process improvements that increase capacity and team productivity Deliver proactive insights that identify profitable strategies and support achievement of targets Ensure all financial work streams are aligned and delivering against business requirements What do you need to succeed? Must-have Strong executive presence and ability to provide thought leadership on key decisions / matters Demonstrated experience in people leadership inspiring the team be the best version of themselves based on a clear vision to support their development and build talent for the future Working in a matrix model, execute with a high degree of collaboration with partners and effectively influence stakeholders resulting in a better outcome via strong interpersonal skills and trust Ability to manage many competing priorities within tight timelines, navigate through change management and clearly communicate priorities and desired outcomes to their team and partners Understanding of finance theory / application; understanding of financial / statistical concepts and approaches Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills; effective communicator and ability to influence and defend recommendations. Exceptional financial modelling skills Execute with a high sense of urgency CA, CMA, CGA, CFA MBA or equivalent with 8+ years work experience Nice-to-have Experience with Credit Cards, Loyalty / Rewards programs, Payments, Networks Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Thinkcell, EPM, PeopleSoft What’s in it for you?
