Description Full-Time | On-Site Westminster, MD $120,000–$130,000/year (based on experience) The Arc Carroll County, a nonprofit supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations and ensure long-term financial sustainability. This is a key leadership role reporting to the Executive Director and managing a team of three finance professionals. What You’ll Do: Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and reporting Prepare monthly and annual financial statements Analyze departmental profitability and funding sources Manage payroll and Paylocity system support Lead annual budgeting process and year-end close Oversee grants, DDA funding, invoicing, and compliance reporting Manage annual external audit Prepare tax filings (Sales & Use, 1099s/1096s) Monitor internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness Supervise and mentor finance staff Collaborate with leadership and external partners Compensation & Benefits: $120k–$130k annual salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid short-term disability, AD&D, and life insurance 403(b) retirement plan (eligible upon hire) Paid Time Off (vacation and sick) Employee Assistance & Wellness Programs Credit Union membership Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA preferred Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably nonprofit Strong experience with automated accounting systems and Excel Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to pass background and drug screening Hiring Process Includes: Online behavioral assessment Criminal background, reference check, physical, and drug screen Help advance our mission through strong financial leadership—apply today!
