OVERVIEW
Gila Health Resources (GHR) is an Arizona-based, multi-specialty medical provider whose administrative offices are located in Morenci, AZ. GHR manages the delivery of healthcare services, primarily to mining-based industries and individuals, at multiple locations throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and West Texas.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Director of Financial Operations to join our leadership team. This position oversees all aspects of accounting and finance, with a specific focus on strategic financial leadership and risk management, and ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of our financial reporting processes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, have excellent analytical skills, possess the ability to work collaboratively across various departments, and communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. This position requires that the candidate live either in or within a 3-4 hour drive of our administrative offices in Morenci, and spend 3-5 days per week working in Morenci, with the potential to work remotely from home 1-2 days per week. Overnight lodging in Morenci will be provided as needed.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Responsible for development and oversight of operating budgets, financial statements, account reconciliations, and internal accounting controls;
Partners with medical directors and management to execute initiatives that improve financial performance across all GHR locations;
Supervises and coaches A/P and other financial operations staff, providing mentorship, guidance
Contracts Management:
Implements and updates clinician contracts, and ensures financial compliance with client Agreements;
Ensures annual and interval updating of, and compliance with, property and professional liability insurance policies for all locations
Capital Expenditures:
Supports capital expenditure process, including new project analysis and ongoing forecasting and oversight of capital spend;
Critical Skills:
Must be able to successfully collaborate with key stakeholders across functional areas;
Strong customer service and presentation skills;
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or a similar field, or 3+ years equivalent work experience in healthcare accounting/financial analysis
Compensation Range:
USD $80,000-$110,000 - depending on experience
