ABOUT THE ROLE

At Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a d ynamic, highly organized, and innovative Director of Food & Beverage!
The Director of Food & Beverage is a key member of the Hotel Leadership team, playing a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the hotel’s culinary and service offerings. As a senior leader, the F&B Director will oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage operations ensuring the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction. This position requires a forward-thinking leader with a keen ability to balance creativity and operational efficiency . Other critical responsibilities include: leading and developing high-performing teams, formulating and overseeing the annual budget and monthly forecast , optimizing labor management and controlling operating expenses, as well as cultivating and maintaining relationships with the local community, key suppliers and industry partners to drive operational success.
We are seeking individuals with a deep expertise in food & beverage, a proven ability to drive creativity and innovation, and a strong business acumen. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a results-driven work ethic, and a track record of effectively managing and developing high-performing teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate the selection , training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met, long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  • Be visible in the operation, provide Guests recognition, as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships.
  • Manage and supervise the preparation and running of commercial activities by participation in F&B competitions and promotions.
  • Participate in establishing strategic sales & marketing plans and reviews on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate the marketing programs with the Sales and Marketing Department to promote the restaurants’ services in food and beverage to potential customers in accordance with F&B latest trends and customer demands.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to design an effective menu , wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price .
  • Implement general and operating policies in relation to F&B Service established by Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
  • Plan, develop and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments .
  • Monitor physical condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
