Description Director of FP&A Join Apple Montessori Schools as our Director of FP&A and play a key role in shaping the financial future of a growing, private-equity–backed early childhood education organization. This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role where you’ll partner closely with the CFO and executive team to drive planning, performance, and informed decision-making across a multi-site enterprise. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual operating and capital budgeting process across schools, regions, and corporate functions Own and maintain the 5-year financial plan aligned with strategic objectives and PE sponsor expectations Oversee financial modeling and pro forma analysis for new schools, expansions, acquisitions, pricing, and staffing initiatives Lead scenario and sensitivity analyses to support investment, capacity, and risk decisions Own short- and long-term cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and variance reporting Lead month-end performance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods Prepare and present board-level and executive financial reporting, including KPIs, trends, and forward-looking insights Deliver monthly management reporting and ad-hoc analyses for executive leadership Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, models, and reporting to support scale and accuracy Build, mentor, and manage FP&A team members and serve as a finance business partner to cross-functional leaders Support the CFO, COO, and CEO on strategic initiatives and special projects Why Join Apple Montessori Schools Purpose-driven work: Use finance to support high-quality early childhood education and the communities we serve. This position will be hybrid remote and will require some travel throughout NJ and occasionally CT, PA, NY.
