Responsibilities

Position also includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the full order lifecycle, from order placement to delivery, including shipping and returns management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Direct daily warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Implement and manage systems for accurate inventory tracking.
  • Monitor stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and ensure product availability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve logistics and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and partners to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate fulfillment managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for order fulfillment, warehouse efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Align fulfillment strategies with organizational goals and long-term growth plans.
  • Anticipate future capacity needs and scalability requirements.
  • Develop and manage the fulfillment department budget.
  • Optimize resource allocation and control operating costs.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience in fulfillment, distribution, supply chain, or logistics management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex operational challenges.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with teams, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and logistics platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, and distribution practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing large-scale fulfillment operations.
  • Proven success in managing high-volume distribution centers (food, retail, or e-commerce required), with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding KPI targets (on-time delivery, order accuracy, labor costs, OEE, safety).
  • Demonstrated expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and automation technologies.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strong background in inventory management, capacity planning, and process optimization.
  • Multi-site operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Skilled at leading large, diverse teams (150+ employees), including managers, supervisors, and hourly staff, in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, and compliance requirements in fulfillment/warehouse settings.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Transportation/Logistics teams.
  • Background in food manufacturing or perishable goods distribution is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
