Description Job Title: Director of Funding Operations Job Type: FT Location: Hybrid 3 days in office (Charlotte, NC) Job Summary We are passionate about our clients having a great experience and this also applies to our team and our future team members. The Director of Funding Operations will serve as a liaison between accounting and other operational functions, particularly on process development and improvement. The Director of Funding Operations will report to the Controller. What You’ll Do Manage a team of Funding Specialist professionals and conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports. Implement uniform process for client funding and other funding related matters. Train and provide support to Funding Operations Team. Field questions and requests from clients, brokers, and Account Managers and handles them in a timely manner. Manage the daily tasks performed on their accounts including account audits and reconciliation on both an individual and corporate level. Review cash reconciliation of client assets. Assist with appropriate set up, funding, structuring, and reporting of client accounts. Assist with establishing goals for performance consistent with company/department goals and communicate to team members. Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand assigned duties & delegated tasks. Monitor the Funding Operations team’s productivity and performance; provide training opportunities as needs are identified. Seek opportunities for improved efficiency and results; define, analyze and improve processes. Ensure adherence to legal requirements & company policies and procedures. Ensure quality service by enforcing quality controls and customer service standards. Provide reporting analysis to other departments, as needed. Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Participate in the hiring decision for incoming Funding team candidates. Consistently manage and approve time for direct and indirect reports. Responsible for welcoming and engaging new team members through direct hire and acquisitions. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain quality work that exemplifies and promotes our company’s core values. Requirements Who You Are A graduate with a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of work experience preferably at a comparable industry. A proven leader with experience managing a successful team. Internally motivated looking to grow personally and professionally. Able to operate independently and utilize data from a variety of different sources. An individual focused on accuracy, especially as it relates to client funding and processes. A leader with strong interpersonal skills who understands that our business objective is to provide superior customer service and can handle conflict in a professional manner. A detail orientated individual with strong organizational and prioritizing skills, and the ability to be flexible and multi-task in a collaborative environment. A qualified candidate who possesses above average analytical and problem-solving skills. An individual that understands the value of providing a high level of customer service. Work Environment FloresHR’s standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET with an hour lunch. Roles may be approved for other schedules by managers. This role operates in a professional hybrid office environment based out of our Charlotte office (off West Morehead) (3 days in office). This role is mostly sedentary and consists of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role also utilizes other tools such as a phone, copy machine, and printer. Common programs often used are Outlook, Word, and Excel. This position frequently communicates with FloresHR team members and candidates and must be able to exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
