SUMMARY Fusion Worldwide is hiring a Director of Global Export Compliance who will support the development, implementation and management of the global export compliance program and team. This individual would report directly to the COO in the US, and locally to the senior management team in APAC. They work with Export Compliance designees who are currently handling case due diligence in regionally as well as risk and compliance globally. This position is essential to Fusion Worldwide’s growth as our business continues to expand globally. RESPONSIBILITIES Assess the state of the compliance program and culture globally at Fusion to understand the level of knowledge as well as identify gaps and needs. Based on the results of the assessment, develop and refine the global export compliance program designed to support the global Fusion organization. Goal is a responsive global program that fits the needs of a transactional organization. Develop a plan to strengthen the global culture of compliance at Fusion Worldwide Direct the global export compliance operation, including export case due diligence, denied parties screening, licensing determination, submitting license application, proper product classification and proper documentation. Understand and have experience with the various systems, ECCN codes, Dual Use classification, licensing requirements and licensing applications. Interface daily with administration and the Sales organization to ensure smooth communication and order flow. Work with development to build and shape an automated export compliance control system in SCOUT. Develop and direct training on export compliance matters including managing the annual export compliance training; attend offsite training courses leading to export compliance certification. Look for opportunities to connect with local and global compliance agencies such as BIS in the US. Continuously review changes to export compliance laws and regulations, ensure changes are communicated to management and ensure the compliance program takes into account changes as well as developing communications strategies to help guide the sales and purchasing organization. Maintain an organized and efficient global export compliance operation that strives to achieve 0 violations and 100% customer satisfaction. Act as the Global Export Compliance SME during external or internal audits Develop the global compliance team and strategy. Areas for growth include global strategic supply chain management and the development and management of relationships with supply chain partners and programs to enhance support and efficiency for customers and Fusion globally REQUIREMENTS 8+ years' global export compliance experience. Electronic components industry experience. A Bachelor’s Degree. Communication and the ability to lead a global team by example. Overall planning and organizing competency.
