The role is responsible for managing admissions and recruitment processes for assigned programs and for supervising any Assistant Directors within their purview. In partnership with SEM leadership, college deans, and program chairs/directors (or their designees), this role establishes enrollment goals, designs admissions workflows, and implements recruitment strategies that strengthen the University’s financial health.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and attending on- and off-campus recruitment events, managing the prospect and applicant pipeline, and performing admissions processing duties. The Director also collaborates on the development of recruitment materials (including web and print content, promotional items, and event displays) and represents assigned programs in a variety of meetings (SEM, college, department, marketing, alumni relations, etc.), advocating for program needs and supporting the broader goals of the Graduate School and Strategic Enrollment Management.
To succeed in this role, the Director must work independently, proactively identify opportunities for growth, and serve as a resourceful problem solver with exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, and adapt to evolving deadlines is essential.
