Location: Remote / U.S. / East Coast / Summit, NJ Full-Time | Leadership Role This is a foundational leadership role that will redefine how we grow revenue beyond marketplace channels. If you’re an entrepreneurial growth leader who thrives in building new systems, teams, and strategies, this is a rare opportunity to drive high-impact transformation inside an established consumer products company. (Bryan Torres first hire of this group will add more with success and with work hand and hand with leadership & CEO Arty / Add content, that this is the first hire and you will be able to build out the department) What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership Own and execute a comprehensive DTC growth strategy across brand sites, email, SMS, organic social, and non-marketplace paid media (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) Build channel expansion roadmaps and customer acquisition programs Create data-driven frameworks for experimentation and scaling Partner closely with Marketplace leadership to align brand experience and budget strategy Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executives Lifecycle Marketing & Retention Build lifecycle programs that increase retention and repeat purchase Develop high-performing email/SMS strategies that boost LTV Lead segmentation, personalization, and post-purchase engagement Establish retention KPIs and cohort-based measurement Conversion Rate Optimization Lead CRO initiatives to increase conversion rate and AOV Run A/B tests across site UX, messaging, and promotions Improve friction points across the customer journey Optimize PDPs, checkout, and merchandising Paid Media (DTC) Own growth-focused paid media strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging channels Manage agencies or build in-house specialists over time Optimize CAC and maintain strong LTV:CAC ratios Test and scale new acquisition channels Team Building & Leadership Define hiring roadmap as growth scales Mentor and develop direct reports (initially Lifecycle Marketing Manager, later DTC Paid specialists) Foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making What does Success look like Establish baseline and drive YoY DTC revenue growth Grow email/SMS revenue contribution Improve customer retention and repeat purchase rates Reduce CAC and increase LTV Increase website conversion rates Build a high-performing team and growth infrastructure What We’re Looking For 4+ years in Growth, DTC, Ecommerce, and Paid Media leadership roles Proven experience building DTC revenue streams from early-stage or zero-to-one environments Expertise in lifecycle marketing, retention, CRO, analytics, and multi-channel paid media Strong technical fluency with Klaviyo/Attentive/Postscript, Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, ecommerce platforms (Shopify/WooCommerce), and attribution models Experience in consumer products, CPG, or multi-brand ecommerce environments Strong strategic leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Entrepreneurial, data-driven, resourceful, and comfortable in fast-changing environments Why This Role Is Unique Build a DTC division from scratch inside a large, established consumer products company Directly influence company profitability and long-term growth strategy Own high-impact decisions with visibility at the executive level Shape team structure, systems, and processes for years to come Aterian, Inc.
