Rockstar is recruiting for a fandom-powered wellness brand creating functional powders for women who romanticize their rituals. They sit at the intersection of wellness, culture, and storytelling, starting with the reading ritual and expanding into a broader world of mood-first, aesthetically driven products. The brand believes growth should be intentional, disciplined, and brand-aligned. They care about contribution margin, creative quality, and building something durable. This is a foundational hire at an early-stage, well-capitalized DTC brand with experienced founders. The Role The brand is hiring a Director of Growth to build, own, and operate its growth engine from the ground up. This is a hands-on role. The candidate will personally manage channels, launch tests, analyze performance, and make budget tradeoffs. Over time, they will build a team and scale systems, but in the early stages they are in the work. Who This Role Is For This role is for a growth operator who is ready to step into full ownership of growth, performance, and channel economics. They have: - Been early at a high-growth DTC brand and operated inside a serious growth engine - Personally managed paid media, testing roadmaps, and performance reporting - Worked closely with brand and creative teams and understand how to make creative perform without diluting the brand - Strong familiarity with Shopify and how site, merchandising, and growth intersect - Exposure to Amazon as a launch or growth channel They are now looking for: - A step up in scope, not just title - Ownership across acquisition, conversion, retention, and economics - A role where execution matters more than hierarchy If they prefer delegating to large teams or operating purely at the strategy level, this is not the role. What They’ll Own Growth Strategy & Performance - Own DTC revenue growth across paid channels (Meta, TikTok, Google, emerging platforms) - Set and manage budget, CAC, LTV, ROAS, and contribution margin targets - Build and execute testing roadmaps - Support launch and scaling of new eCommerce channels and margins, including Amazon and TikTok Shop Paid Media & Creative Execution - Personally manage paid media accounts in the early stages - Partner with Brand to brief, review, and iterate on performance creative - Develop creative testing frameworks across hooks, formats, creators, and messaging - Ensure performance creative stays on-brand and avoids generic wellness tropes Conversion Rate Optimization - Own CRO across the Shopify site including landing pages, PDPs, bundles, and checkout - Launch and analyze experiments to improve conversion, AOV, and subscriber adoption - Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into site improvements Lifecycle & Retention - Own email and SMS strategy including flows, campaigns, and segmentation - Drive repeat purchase, subscription uptake, and LTV growth - Ensure lifecycle marketing feels editorial, intentional, and aligned with brand tone P&L & Analytics - Own growth-related P&L inputs including CAC and contribution margin - Build and maintain dashboards for acquisition, retention, and contribution margin Team & Scale (Over Time) - Manage external agencies and contractors as needed - Hire and develop internal growth team members as the company scales - Build repeatable processes and growth playbooks What They’re Looking For Experience - 5–10 years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or digital acquisition - Experience at a high-growth DTC brand, ideally in food, beverage, beauty, or lifestyle - Direct hands-on experience managing paid media and growth experiments - Direct experience with Shopify, and familiarity with Amazon - Experience owning or influencing growth-related P&L Skillset & Mindset - Highly analytical with strong business judgment - Comfortable inside ad platforms, dashboards, and experimentation tools - Strong creative instincts and ability to evaluate what will perform and why - Builder mentality with no ego around doing the work - Cares deeply about brand quality while driving performance - Takes ownership, moves fast, and follows through Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary and equity package - Full benefits - The opportunity to build a category-defining brand from the ground up CID 2431
