QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have 5+ years of counselling experience and university counselling expertise
  • A Master’s in Counselling or a related field would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated belief in the value of collaboration and proven success as a collaborator

  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possess effective self-management and self-motivation skills
  • Possess strong project management skills

Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership for the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program designed to support instruction, student achievement, record keeping, and student well-being
  • Coordinate the Upper School guidance curriculum.
  • Oversee the university application process and serve as the administrator of OUAC
  • Coordinate the School’s Nomination for National Scholarships and school reference letters in support of university applications
  • Facilitate the PG&E process for the counselling team
  • Identify professional development for the guidance team
  • Maintain a caseload of students and contribute to the delivery of the guidance curriculum
  • Oversee and manage the performance of Guidance University Placement Admin Support
