MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

o A licensed physician and hold a degree in public health from an accredited college or university or hold a graduate degree in public health from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience around public health.
o Must meet qualifications for bonding.

ABOUT US

The FVHD was formed in 1976 and currently serves ten towns including: Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, Hartland, New Hartford, and Simsbury with a combined population of approximately 110,000. It is governed by an appointed Board of Health and is an independent entity of government.
The District includes the divisions of: Administration, Community Health, Environmental Health and Emergency Preparedness, and is supported by a staff of seventeen
