The Association Office of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a Director of Healthy Living Pay Type: Salary Pay Range: $65626 per year to $82,032 (depending on experience) Are you passionate about improving community health and ready to lead programs that truly change lives? We’re excited to invite a dynamic, mission-driven leader to join our Hiring Team as the Director of Healthy Living at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee! In this role, you’ll work closely with association leadership, center teams, and community partners to bring our Healthy Living programs to life—everything from Group Exercise and Nutrition Counseling to LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA and chronic disease prevention programs. You’ll lead and support a talented team, manage data and systems, ensure program quality, and serve as a champion for health, inclusion, and impact across our Association. This is a hands-on, people-first leadership role where strategy meets service. What we’re looking for (the must-haves): Minimum Age: 18 Bachelor’s degree in program development, fitness education, supervision, or related field (public health experience preferred) or comparable experience Proven leadership and supervisory experience in wellness, fitness, or community health programming Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills Ability to travel locally and work a flexible schedule (including evenings/weekends) Certifications: New Hire Orientation Certificate (before first shift) YMCA Healthy Living & Cause/Culture trainings (within 2 weeks) Adult Mental Health First Aid USA certification (within 6 months) Team Leader Certification preferred If you’re ready to lead with purpose and help our communities live healthier, happier lives—we can’t wait to meet you!
Responsibilities
The Director of Healthy Living will lead and support Healthy Living programs, collaborating with association leadership and community partners. This role involves managing data and systems to ensure program quality and championing health initiatives across the Association.
