Description
The Director of HR Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of HR programs and services with a strong focus on operational excellence, compliance, and efficiency. This role oversees core HR functions such as benefits administration, HRIS management, compensation management, recruiting workflows, employee relations, training and development, and vendor oversight, while driving continuous process optimization and project management initiatives, and delivering scalable HR solutions that align with organizational goals. The Director will develop, monitor, and manage HR operational KPIs to ensure measurable performance and accountability. This position ensures timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of HR services, partners closely with peers on interdepartmental matters, and manages the HR department budget.   * Oversees day-to-day HR operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of HR programs, initiatives, and services across the organization. * Oversees employee relations processes, ensuring investigations, corrective actions, and terminations are handled consistently, timely, and in accordance with documented precedent, compliance with company policy, and applicable local, federal, and Tribal legal requirements. * Owns the functionality and effectiveness of HR information systems and reporting, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Drives comprehensive talent lifecycle initiatives, including acquisition, onboarding, and learning & development programs, ensuring alignment with operational goals. * Ensures compliance with compensation policies and philosophies, including change authorizations, privacy permissions, and applicable laws and regulations. * Owns the success and employee sentiment of benefits programs, and partners with vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery. * Ensures compliance in benefits administration, including ACA, LOAs, reporting, enrollment processes, etc. * Develops, tracks, and manages HR operational KPIs and KPI dashboards to measure performance, identify trends, provide insight, drive accountability, and maintain alignment with department and company strategy and mission. * Leads HR project management focused on process optimization, technology implementation, and operational efficiency. * Updates policies and procedures as needed to maintain compliance with applicable employment laws. * Oversees vendor relationships and contract management for HR-related services (benefits, uniforms, etc.), ensuring smooth collaboration and strong alignment. * Manages HR department budget, tracks expenditures across all functions, and identifies and follows through on cost-saving opportunities. * Partners with HR leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and deliverables. * Provides guidance and mentorship to HR team members on operational tasks, service delivery standards, etc., fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. * Partners closely with Finance on payroll-related matters and benefits reconciliation, ensuring alignment and accuracy. * Ensures consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all departments. * Demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct. * Performs other duties as assigned.   Qualifications * Must be 21 years or older. * Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience required. * 7 years of Human Resources experience, with 5 years in a supervisory capacity required. * Prior Tribal casino gaming experience preferred. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee issues within the framework of labor laws and union contracts preferred. * Demonstrated ability to successfully oversee programs, policies and procedures. * Strong supervisory and leadership skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaboration and team building, persuasion and influence, and ability to lead process improvement and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. * Advanced written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to tailor tone and style for different audiences and platforms. * High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information and perceptiveness to sensitive matters. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of energy and output. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or related software, project management software, and HRIS, ATS, LMS, and Benefit portals. * Familiarity with and/or experience working in ADP preferred.   Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority?
