POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources and Payroll Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational functions of the HR and payroll departments. This role ensures the organization’s human capital management aligns with business goals and that employees are paid accurately and on time. The Director leads workforce planning, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll processing, compliance and talent development.

7. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR and payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nextgen as it relates to payroll.
  • In-depth knowledge of Teachers Retirement System and PEEHIP
  • Strong knowledge of employment and payroll laws and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    Salary Range: Salary is based on a board-approved salary schedule based on rank, certification and experience.
    Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated according to the provisions of the Board’s policy on personnel evaluation.
