As a member of the properties Executive Committee, the Director of Human Resources is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead strategic and operational HR initiatives for our property. Reporting to the General Manager and partnering with Hyatt Corporate HR and Canada HR Team, you will drive HR excellence aligned with Andaz’s vibrant, people-first approach. The Human Resources function prides itself on excellence, service, integrity and accountability.
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for short- and long-term planning of the HR function. This means leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, colleague and labour relations, benefits and workforce training and development.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Take an active role in professional HR organizations
Represent the property in professional HR networks and across Hyatt’s HR ecosystem, including working with Corporate HR.
Qualifications
Hands-on Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Strong knowledge of Canadian and Ontario employment law, wage regulations, health and safety standards, and labour relations.
