POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Human Resources has the unique responsibility of creating an environment where employees and volunteers thrive, and applicants yearn to be selected to be a part of the team. The Director of HR not only understands what motivates LASPCA employees and volunteers but ensures new team members are well prepared and supported as they grow with the LASPCA. This role is ideal for someone who centers the organization’s work around its people first and foremost, loves building the long-term strategy while managing the nearer term projects, and measures success in the strength of the culture and the indicators that verify what is felt by those inside of the organization. Serving as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of HR will provide strategic leadership to the organization thereby ensuring a high performing, engaged, diverse, and inclusive team that operates in accordance with our values. The Director of HR is responsible for establishing and administering policies and programs to support the overall strategic direction of the organization and providing proactive leadership and professional expertise in all areas of human resources management, including benefits, compensation, payroll, employee relations, compliance, and performance across employees and volunteers to achieve our mission, the Director of Human Resources focuses on:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Work Environment
The role primarily operates in an office setting. Travel between multiple campuses and locations across south Louisiana for recruitment events. Occasional national travel when required.
SALARY DESCRIPTION
$85,000 - $100,000
