Total Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 (Base $80,000–$110,000 + $20,000 in stock options). Prefer more equity and less cash? We’re flexible—adjust your mix of salary and stock options while keeping total compensation in this range.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably with multi-state operations
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent)
  • Experience in employee relations, compensation, benefits, policy writing, and compliance audits
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, including ADP, Gusto, and Paycom
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting M&A activities, including due diligence and integration
  • Background in tech or internet service industries
  • Learning and development coaching experience
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We’re seeking a Director of Human Resources to manage HR functions across the U.S. while supporting Wi-Fiber’s rapid expansion. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for overseeing HR operations, payroll, compliance, employee relations, and supporting M&A activities across all states where we operate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nationwide HR Operations: Oversee HR functions across all locations, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Payroll & Compensation: Manage payroll for all employees using ADP, Gusto, and Paycom. Assist with compensation planning, pay and bonus plan creation, and overall compensation architecture.
  • Compliance & Policy: Lead compliance audits, maintain HR policies, and ensure regulatory alignment across all states.
  • Learning & Development: Collaborate with management to support employee growth, skills training, and leadership development initiatives.
  • M&A Support: Provide HR support for acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration of employees.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts while fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • HRIS Management: Oversee HRIS implementation and management to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track HR metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and compliance with privacy laws.
