Responsibilities:
Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health serves the state of South Carolina with a broad range of psychiatric and substance abuse services. These services address the needs of individuals and families living with mental health and addiction disorders. Psychiatric programs and services for adolescents, adults and senior adults are offered in private inpatient and outpatient settings. JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Director is responsible for executing Human Resource activities for all functional areas, (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, etc.) and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR–related activities. This position serves as a strategic partner and key member of hospital leadership, and may serve as Administrator On-Call (AOC) as assigned, to include completing rounding an patient units and throughout the facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of 8-10 years of Human Resources experience; previous healthcare experience preferred.
Previous supervisory/management experience required.
HR Certification (through HRCI or SHRM) preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and an understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR.
Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations.
Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities including excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet-based HR systems and email.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment: research positions, full understanding of the Facility’s staffing needs, sourcing for candidates, leveraging the ATS, interviewing, selection, negotiating employment offers, assisting with new employee orientation, etc.). Implements and maintains proactive recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Advises with Facility management and consults with Corporate HR Operations on sensitive corrective actions, PI Plans, terminations, position restructures, reductions-in-force and other performance issues.
  • Manages employee relations and retention programs including the onboarding program for the Behavioral Health facilities. Oversees employee engagement activities.
