POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Human Resources will provide strategic and operational leadership across all HR functions, including employee relations, policy development, performance management, legal compliance, benefits administration, and organizational culture. This role is essential in supporting a workplace that prioritizes mental wellness, equity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, systems-minded leader who understands the unique needs of a behavioral health environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Deep understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and regulatory frameworks (healthcare or nonprofit preferred)
  • Experience leading HR in clinical, healthcare, or mental health environments is a strong plus
  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and ability to navigate sensitive conversations
  • Proficient in HRIS platforms and data-driven HR practices
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
