This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located within the Eastern Time Zone to align with team collaboration and core business hours. The Director of Human Resources acts as a strategic partner to the head of HR, shaping and delivering a people strategy that drives business performance and organizational health. This role leads critical priorities across talent management, HR operations & processes, people analytics, compliance, compensation, and workforce planning. Leading a team of three HR Business Partners supporting corporate and distribution center teams, this leader ensures consistent, high-impact HR partnership and leadership alignment across both remote and on-site environments. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Partner with the head of HR to align the company’s strategic objectives with a comprehensive people agenda that drives performance and growth. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing talent, culture, and organizational decisions. Lead HR initiatives supporting growth, transformation, and integration across the company. Track and report HR KPIs and analytics to support business reviews through the creation of HR dashboards. Design clear and impactful presentations that inform and influence across all levels in the organization. Provide people insight briefings summarizing key talent, cultural trends, and workforce risks to support leadership planning. Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning Evolve performance development frameworks, tools, and capabilities to create a system that connects performance, potential, and rewards. Lead the preparation and facilitation of the annual talent review process in partnership with managers and HR Business Partners, ensuring alignment on performance, potential, and succession priorities across the organization. Oversee workforce planning and talent pipeline development to ensure critical roles and skills are in place. Partner with Talent Acquisition to optimize recruiting strategies and external partnerships. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop HR Business Partners. Promote cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset. Champion HR technology, process automation, and analytics-driven decision-making. Employee Experience & Culture Partner with Employee Experience team to drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and culture alignment across remote and onsite teams. Compensation & HR Operations Oversee the compensation planning and review process, continuously improving tools, data accuracy, and market benchmarking to ensure equitable and competitive pay programs. Ensure HR systems, reporting & analytics, policies, and processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in HR Business Partner management role. Proven ability to align people strategy with business priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, or private-equity-backed organization. Recognized for leadership across core HR disciplines, including talent management, compensation, HR operations, workforce planning, and compliance. Experienced in supporting multi-site and remote environments, spanning both corporate and hourly/ distribution center operations. Skills & Capabilities: Strategic mindset with hands-on execution — able to think broadly while engaging in operational details when needed. Strong leadership presence and communication skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization. Adept at building, developing, and coaching HRBP teams to enhance partnership and capability across the business. Skilled in using HR analytics and dashboards to drive insight, decision-making, and continuous improvement. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and transformation, with the ability to prioritize and execute in dynamic environments. Collaborative, data-driven, and forward-thinking leadership style that builds credibility and trust across functions. Understanding of employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices. Proven ability to streamline and optimize processes for efficiency, scalability, and employee experience. Demonstrated strength in change leadership, organizational alignment, and culture integration. Demonstrated expertise in the following required: O365 MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Demonstrated expertise in the following preferred: Paylocity LMS, SharePoint, SmartSheet Requirements: Ability to travel domestically 10% -15% of the time.
