This position oversees all IT operations, including network administration, cybersecurity, telecommunications, hardware and software management, vendor relationships, system integrations, and user support services. The Director ensures technology solutions align with organizational goals while supporting high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and data security. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and collaborates with clinical, operational, financial, and administrative departments to develop and execute technology initiatives that advance the organization's mission. Key Responsibilities:   Strategic Leadership * Develop and execute the organization's IT strategic plan in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. * Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, patient care, and staff productivity. * Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation. * Participate in organizational planning and decision-making as a member of the leadership team. * Develop and monitor IT policies, procedures, and standards.   Infrastructure and Systems Management * Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of all technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, telecommunications systems, cloud services, and end-user devices. * Ensure reliable operation and availability of business-critical systems, including EHR, practice management, financial, HR, and productivity systems. * Manage system upgrades, implementations, integrations, and migrations. * Establish and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity plans. * Maintain hardware and software inventories and lifecycle replacement plans. Cybersecurity and Compliance * Lead the organization's cybersecurity program and ensure protection of systems, networks, and data. * Develop and enforce information security policies and best practices. * Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents. * Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HRSA, federal and state regulations, and organizational security requirements. * Coordinate risk assessments, security audits, penetration testing, and remediation efforts. IT Operations and Support * Direct the delivery of IT support services and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. * Establish service level expectations and performance metrics for IT operations. * Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. * Ensure effective management of user access, permissions, and identity management processes. * Support telehealth, remote access, and other technology initiatives as needed. Vendor and Project Management * Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers. * Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and technology purchases. * Lead technology projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support. * Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. * Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met. Financial Management * Develop and manage the IT department budget. * Evaluate technology investments and prepare business cases for capital and operational expenditures. * Monitor technology-related expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Ensure appropriate allocation of technology resources to support organizational priorities. Leadership and Staff Development * Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate IT staff. * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer service. * Identify training and professional development opportunities for IT team members. * Establish departmental goals and performance expectations.     Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field required. * Master's degree in a related field preferred. * Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive information technology experience required. * Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience required. * Experience managing enterprise networks, cybersecurity programs, cloud environments, and business applications required.    Preferred:  * Healthcare experience, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, or healthcare organization, preferred. * Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, including NextGen, Epic, or similar healthcare platforms, preferred.   Equal Employment Opportunity/Drug-Free Workplace:   The HealthCare Connection is focused on creating a community that promotes dignity and respect for employees, patients and other community members.
