This role partners with the CIO and executive leadership to develop and execute the company’s technology roadmap, ensuring that systems, data, and applications support business goals and regulatory requirements. The Director provides leadership to the Service Desk Manager and technical support team, driving operational excellence, innovation, and the effective use of business intelligence (BI), artificial intelligence (AI), and automation technologies to improve performance and efficiency across the enterprise.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Partner with the CIO and leadership team to define and implement a multi-year IT strategy that supports organizational growth, scalability, and compliance. * Develop and execute an IT roadmap focused on infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, business intelligence, and automation. * Identify, evaluate, and deploy innovative technologies—such as AI-driven process automation and BI platforms—to enhance business insight and productivity. * Support system integrations and standardization across sites and service lines following mergers or acquisitions. * Oversee IT governance, policies, and risk management practices to maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. * Lead and supervise the Service Desk Manager and IT support teams to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. * Establish and monitor IT service delivery metrics (KPIs and SLAs) to measure and improve operational performance. * Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accountability across all teams. * Oversee vendor and equipment management, including technology procurement, contract negotiation, hardware lifecycle management, and cost optimization. * Manage IT asset tracking, budgeting, and forecasting to align resources with organizational needs. * Lead initiatives to deploy business intelligence (BI) tools that enable data-driven decision-making across departments. * Champion AI and automation solutions that streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and improve organizational efficiency. * Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and platforms that enhance collaboration, scalability, and digital transformation. * Partner with business leaders to understand operational requirements and deliver technology solutions that improve outcomes and user experience. * Build and maintain a high-performing IT team through mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities. * Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the IT organization. * Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and strategic decision-making. * Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and HR to align IT initiatives with company objectives and budget priorities. * Communicate technology vision, goals, and performance metrics clearly to stakeholders at all levels. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). * 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing enterprise-scale systems or multi-site environments. * Demonstrated experience in developing and executing IT strategy, managing IT operations, and leading technology-driven change initiatives. * Proven track record in vendor management, project oversight, and team leadership within a service delivery environment. * Strong knowledge of business intelligence (Power BI, Tableau), AI and automation platforms (Power Automate, Azure AI, or equivalent), and cloud technologies. * Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and HIPAA compliance strongly preferred. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
