We are searching for a strategic and forward-thinking Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department and oversee all technology-related operations. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who can align technical infrastructure with overarching business goals while ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our digital environment. OFFICE INFORMATION: * This position is located in Towson, MD * Our environment utilizes a hybrid cloud infrastructure * This role will lead a diverse team of system administrators, help desk technicians, and cybersecurity analysts. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Develop and implement the long-term IT strategy and roadmap to support organizational growth and efficiency. * Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data storage. * Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans to protect sensitive company data. * Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and third-party services. * Lead and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and high-quality internal support. * Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve operational workflows and maintain a competitive edge. WHAT YOU’LL NEED * Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. * Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud architecture credentials preferred. * 7+ years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading technical teams and large-scale projects. * Deep expertise in network administration, systems integration, and cybersecurity best practices. * Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * A proactive approach to identifying technical bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions. * Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executive leadership. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Primarily a sedentary role requiring extended periods at a computer workstation. * Occasional lifting or moving of server hardware or networking equipment (up to 30 lbs). * Ability to travel between local office sites as needed. * Availability for after-hours emergency support or scheduled maintenance windows during evenings and weekends.
