POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of IT Infrastructure and Security is responsible for leading the strategic direction and day-to-day management of all infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity functions across the organization. This role oversees production environments (on-premises and cloud-based), desktop and mobile technologies, networking systems, data management, communications, A/V, and telephony, ensuring consistent operational excellence and security.
The Director will work closely with Managed Service Providers to support the organization’s growing portfolio of cloud-based business systems and will manage the evolving information and technology needs of both internal teams and external stakeholders. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to the VP/CIO, providing insight into emerging trends in cybersecurity, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and innovation in technology operations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Candidates should have demonstrated experience with at least six (6) of the following:

  • VMware virtualization
  • Cisco networking and switching
  • Security architecture and firewalls
  • SAN (Storage Area Network) data storage
  • Vulnerability and intrusion detection/monitoring
  • Windows and Linux server administration
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • IT compliance audits
  • Copper and fiber network infrastructure
  • Wireless networking

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL/IT best practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in system performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Align infrastructure and security initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Engage regularly with executive leadership, department heads, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure and security budget, including planning for expenditures and approving purchases.
  • Represent the IT function in cross-functional meetings, external committees, and conferences as needed.
