JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role demands a blend of strategic vision & technical expertise. We’re looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record in leading high-performing technology teams, with a strong focus on people development and management.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving transition from on-premises infrastructure to fully automated, cloud/hybrid cloud based and containerised solutions.
  • Broad technical expertise across infrastructure domains, including network communications, servers, storage, and cloud technologies—particularly AWS, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, Microsoft/Redhat/Suse server technologies, Kubernetes and hypervisors such as VMware and Nutanix.
  • Recent experience operating within large, complex organisations—ideally in the Travel and Leisure sector.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Director of Infrastructure, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering the technical direction of Carnival UK and our ships. Your leadership will not only shape our technological advancements but also inspire a team of technology professionals to excel in their roles.

  • Key accountabilities include:
  • Accountable for the ongoing performant, robust, secure and compliant operation of all Carnival UK Technology Infrastructure across ship & shore including data centres, cloud deployments, networking, telephony and shared platforms.
  • Innovation, strategic roadmap creation and robust delivery of infrastructure requirements in support of business objectives.Lead teams to adopt an inclusive, customer service focused delivery and continual improvement ethos, building team capability to propel us through our exciting transformation programme.
