Job Responsibilities * Own end-to-end network availability, reliability, and operational performance, ensuring service quality meets or exceeds client expectations. * Serve as the senior escalation point for critical incidents and client-impacting events, leading major incident bridges with clear executive communication and cross-functional coordination. * Sets reuse-first expectations for enterprise-authorized AI adoption within the work environment across the function to accelerate delivery and improve decision quality, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.  * Drive consistent execution of incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure timely resolution, strong root cause analysis, and prevention of repeat issues. * Establish clear operating models and accountability across operational and engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Lead a multi-location organization of directors, managers, and engineers, including workforce strategy, succession planning, and leadership development. * Analyze operational data and trends to identify risks, prioritize improvements, and drive measurable performance outcomes. * Partner with engineering and reliability teams to enhance monitoring, observability, and automation capabilities. * Represent Network Rapid Response in executive forums, communicating performance, risks, priorities, and remediation plans to senior stakeholders. * Establishes governance standards for AI-assisted workflows used in delivery and operational routines, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency, security, and risk expectations.  * Lead vendor engagement end-to-end, including relationship management, RFP development, performance management, and oversight of budgets, vendor spend, and investment decisions aligned to business priorities.   Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience  * Deep expertise in enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco ACI/NXOS, VXLAN (Cisco/Arista), F5 load balancing, and Fortinet or Bluecoat proxies. * Strong multi-cloud operations experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP. * Proficient with ServiceNow and operational workflow/tooling to drive disciplined execution. * Hands-on experience with automation and AI-enabled tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Copilot, GitHub, VS Code). * Demonstrated experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment for infrastructure engineering workflows, including validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.  * Ability to define review and approval expectations for AI-assisted recommendations and ensure outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.  * Strong monitoring and observability capabilities using tools such as SevOne, Splunk, Cisco Catalyst Center, and Arista CloudVision, including SNMP, telemetry, and synthetic monitoring (IP SLA, ThousandEyes). * Proven ability to lead large, distributed operational teams with strong accountability and an execution-focused culture. * Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional partnership skills, with clear executive communication—especially during high-severity incidents. * Data-driven operator with strong financial acumen (budgeting, vendor management, business cases) and a track record of designing operating models and delivering measurable improvements in stability and performance.   Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills * 10+ years in Network Engineering or Network Operations within large-scale, mission-critical environments.  * Minimum of 5+ years in senior leadership roles at the Director or Executive Director level with regional or global scope.  * Proven track record leading operational organizations with accountability for availability, incident response, and service performance.  * Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and platform teams to enhance monitoring, reliability, and automation capabilities.
