Job Summary: The Director of Information Technology leads the firm’s IT strategy, infrastructure, and operations across all offices. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology systems that support a multi-state law firm handling sensitive financial and client data. The Director will oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, systems administration, and vendor management, while aligning technology initiatives with business goals and regulatory requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: Leads and develops the IT team, including infrastructure, support, and security functions Provides clear direction, prioritization, and accountability across all IT initiatives Partners with firm leadership to support operational and strategic goals Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Oversees all IT operations across 9 offices, ensuring system uptime, performance, and reliability Develops and executes the firm’s IT strategy, roadmap, and infrastructure planning Ensures the security of all firm systems, networks, and data, including sensitive financial and client information Establishes and enforces cybersecurity protocols, access controls, and data protection standards Manages network infrastructure, servers, cloud environments, telephony, and endpoint systems Oversees IT support functions, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and high service levels across all offices Partners with HR and Compliance to ensure proper onboarding/offboarding access controls and system permissions Leads risk management efforts, including vulnerability assessments, incident response, and disaster recovery planning Ensures compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and client security requirements (including data privacy standards) Manages third-party vendors, contracts, and technology partners Oversees system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across platforms (HRIS, telephony, case management, etc.) Develops and maintains IT policies, procedures, and documentation Monitors and manages IT budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization Provides reporting and insights to leadership on system performance, risks, and initiatives Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility Experience in a regulated environment (legal, financial services, healthcare, etc.) strongly preferred. Experience supporting multi-location environments Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards Experience with cloud environments, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems Success Measures: System uptime and reliability across all offices Timely resolution of IT issues and overall service satisfaction Security posture, including incident prevention and response effectiveness Compliance with client, regulatory, and internal security requirements Successful execution of IT projects and system implementations Data integrity, access control accuracy, and audit readiness Budget management and cost efficiency Strength and development of IT team
