JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of IT Infrastructure oversees the Application Infrastructure, Integrations, and Automation teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. This leadership role focuses on application management, Database management, web development services, integration systems, and automation. The Director collaborates with executive leadership to align IT strategies with business goals, drive technological innovation, and protect organizational assets.
Additionally, the Director leads and manages the teams, aligning their efforts with business objectives, overseeing performance, and providing mentorship and career development support. The Director fosters a collaborative culture that promotes innovation, security, and operational efficiency.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong background in driving strategy specifically around SQL Database architecture, On-Prem/Hybrid.
  • Background working with global workforce.
  • Experience in implementing and managing security frameworks, risk management processes, and compliance efforts.

SKILLS:

  • SQL, CI/CD, Containerization, IAC (Terraform), Web-Development, API Integrations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive collaboration and performance.
  • Deep understanding of IT security protocols, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications such as VMWare VCP, Azure Solutions Architect Expertise, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
  • Experience with managing global IT infrastructure in a large, distributed environment.
  • Experience with compliance certifications such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
    The expected Total Compensation for this role is $134,706 - $173,127 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • SQL Server Expertise: Provide in-depth expertise in SQL Server, database architecture, and system integration, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow across various applications and platforms.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and support the Integration team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
  • API Initiatives: Oversee Application Programming Interface (API) initiatives to enhance interoperability and streamline processes, ensuring that all integrations are secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaboration with Executive Leadership: Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT infrastructure strategies with business goals, drive technological innovation, and safeguard organizational assets.
  • Network and Platform Stability: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of network infrastructure
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain the integrity and security of IT systems.
  • Resource Management: Manage budget, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize IT infrastructure operations and support business growth.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop strategies to address technical debt and enhance team morale, empowering team members to make decisions and build key relationships across the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance using predefined scripts and tools, ensuring optimal operations and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and implement database backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and failover systems.
