Job Description POSITION PURPOSE The individual in this position will lead the design, procurement, uptime/restoral-time priorities, security levels, maintenance, documentation, and adoption of Carroll White’s Information Technology (IT) systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform in a satisfactory manner the functions listed below. Put safety above all else in all situations, including but not limited to system design, training for self and staff in operational procedures for all Manage and monitor IT projects and day-to-day IT operations Conduct both short-term and long-range planning Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve member and employee services through technology Lead technology adoption by employees and members as directed by the Board, CEO, and staff Prepare and manage the IT budget; oversee ordering and IT vendor relationships Provide leadership, priority guidance, and oversight to IT staff to assure our networks’ reliability and security Attend and proactively participate in IEC IT Section Meetings, Board meetings, Management Team meetings and other ad hoc meetings. Seek opportunities to attend and serve in industry organizations Utilizes and oversee Development, Performance and Recognition (DPR) for self and IT staff Responsible for the delegation, training, and appraisal process of IT employees Actively participates in succession planning for IT and the coop Assures front line technical support for users Ensure system backup/restoral procedures are documented and validated through simulations Performing other duties as assigned by the CEO SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises IT staff Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
