Develop, organize, and evaluate the activities program. Promote enrichment through activities covering all seven dimensions of wellness: physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional, environmental, and vocational. Plan and lead programs including evening, weekend, and holiday activities, intergenerational programs, and off-campus outings. Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Committee for resident involvement in program planning and execution. Oversee coordination of the Monthly Newsletter and communication platforms. Manage department expenses, budget requirements, and ensure fiscal responsibility. Mentor and supervise volunteers, providing training, recognition, and annual evaluations. Assist with special events, in-services, and emergency coverage. Oversee the decoration of the community for holidays and events and manage departmental supplies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field: Recreation Therapy, Social Sciences, Gerontology, Fitness/Wellness, Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other healthcare related field. National Certified as an Activity Professional or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Possess a varied background of skills/talents/interests: performing arts, arts & crafts, fitness/wellness, music, creative writing etc. 5 years of related and/or supervisory experience in Senior Living Advanced computer skills Valid South Carolina driver’s license Knowledge of the local area for volunteer recruitment, community partnerships and event planning.
