JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Lift Maintenance & Reliability is a leadership role responsible for establishing and overseeing the Lift Maintenance Centre of Excellence, driving significant improvements in lift reliability, safety, and efficiency across the company’s portfolio of resorts. This role will directly influence the guest experience by minimizing lift downtime and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our lift assets. The Director will be accountable for planning and scheduling all lift-specific maintenance activities, implementing process controls and governance, and driving preventative maintenance programs. This leader will also play a critical role in developing and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals and establishing a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the Lift Maintenance organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred certification.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale maintenance operations and driving significant improvements in reliability and efficiency.
    The expected Total Compensation for this role is $134,706 - $211,548 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Lift Maintenance Centre of Excellence, aligning with broader company objectives for guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost management.

  • Reliability and Uptime: Accountable to plan and schedule all lift-specific maintenance activities, with direct accountability for lift uptime and mean time between failures. Develop and implement strategies to minimize lift downtime and maximize reliability.

  • Maintenance Excellence: Own and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensure all maintenance procedures are efficient and fit for purpose, and implements process controls & governance.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of lift maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Evaluate data trends, monitor equipment condition, health, and performance; manages asset lifecycle to ensure asset ROI, and designs options to extend asset life.
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE): Owns the administration of the OEE program for their portfolio.
  • Process Optimization & Standardization: Ensure maintenance processes are efficient, standardized, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with resort operations teams, procurement, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the Lift Maintenance Centre of Excellence budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Leadership: Establish the use of Lean Six Sigma principles and strategies into the way we think and the way we work. Use Lean Six Sigma principles and strategies to drive operational excellence and process improvement with the purpose of identifying waste and removing it.
  • Other duties as assigned
