The Domain has evolved through the decades and comprises three Napa Valley properties that form its pillars: Harlan Estate, founded in 1984; BOND, founded in 1996; and Promontory, founded in 2008. The Mascot— a wine made from the younger vines of the three estates—was established in 2012. Each of these undertakings is dedicated to the understanding of our land, and to faithfully translating the respective characters of the individual properties into their wines. About the role The Logistics Director is a strategic and operational leader responsible for demonstrating year-over-year improvement across all post-bottling logistics functions, including warehousing, fulfilment, inventory management, and process innovation. As a highly cross functional role, this position is integral to the success of the organization by partnering closely with multiple departments to ensure alignment, efficiency, and execution across the business. This role shapes the future of the Winery Domain’s logistics capabilities by championing technology, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational rigor. Additionally, this role builds and sustains strong, mutually supportive partnerships with the Directors of both DTC and Trade channels, fostering collaboration that drives continuous improvement and enhances overall business performance.  This role is entrusted with Warehouse & Logistics Technology Leadership * Champion innovation and position the Winery Domain at the forefront of operational advancement * Lead the exploration, evaluation, and implementation of state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics technologies, including automation, advanced WMS tools, and digital tracking platforms * Play a central role in the concept, design, and build-out of a new warehouse, ensuring modern capabilities are integrated from the ground up * Demonstrate innate curiosity by actively benchmarking industry leaders, understanding emerging practices, and introducing solutions that elevate efficiency, accuracy, and scalability Team Development & Leadership Excellence  * Build a high-performance culture focused on growth, accountability, and continuous improvement * Mentor and develop key managers and team members, ensuring they remain engaged, empowered, and aligned with the department’s vision * Foster a culture where employees proactively identify efficiencies and process improvements without defaulting on increased staffing * Encourage forward thinking, ownership, and problem-solving across all levels of the organization * Embody the Domian’s culture of humility and excellence, ensuring every final product delivered to our patrons reflects the family’s vision and uncompromising standards Ways of Working & Operational Efficiency  * Drive new ways of working that enhance productivity, visibility, and cross-functional collaboration * Deeply understand the inner workings of all logistics processes to identify friction points and opportunities for change * Lead by example - setting high standards for organization, discipline, and operational precision * Leverage strong expertise in Business Central to streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and support scalable growth * Cultivate a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in safe work practices across the organization Project & Process Champion * Ensure strong governance and flawless execution across logistics-related projects and processes * Lead cross-functional initiatives such as new EU label requirements for the 2024+ vintages, including label design and vendor alignment * Establish and reinforce a culture of process discipline, documentation, and continuous improvement * Strengthen controls to ensure the highest levels of product safety, compliance, and inventory security * Drive operational consistency by ensuring technologies, workflows, and controls work together cohesively Best aligned with candidates who possess * Minimum BS in Logistics, business operations or related fields * 10 yrs+ experience in logistics operations in the wine industry or other alcohol regulated product * Management skills – proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, setting clear expectations, and driving accountability to achieve operational and strategic objectives * High touch customer service professional withacquiredcredibility in the wine industryor similar * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills * ERP Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency with Business Central and CRM systems, or similar ERP environments, with the ability to leverage these tools to drive operational efficiency, data integrity, and process improvement * Ability to manage priorities and workflow * Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines * Proven commitment to excellence and high standards * Attention to detail and resourcefulness, with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness * Highly collaborative, cooperative, team player * Prior experience working in a small, multigenerational business a plus * Occasional travel required Physical requirements * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting warehouse floor oversight and inspections  * Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 25–50 pounds  * Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to access inventory and equipment  * Ability to use hands and arms for handling, grasping, and operating equipment (e.g., tablets, scanners, tools)  * Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed to access storage areas or equipment  * Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations typical of warehouse and wine storage environments  * Ability to operate or be around warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (operation may require certification)  * Ability to sit for extended periods when performing administrative or planning tasks How we support you * Health benefits for you and your family, including medical/dental/vision additional health benefits include life, long term disability, FSA or HSA and 401(k). *  Vacation and sick time along with 11 paid holidays and annually designated employee appreciation days. *  A diverse team of coworkers that care about each other in a fun, exciting work environment. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The pay scale for this position is $185,000 - $200,000 annually and with bonus eligibility. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data.
